Windows AI Agent Visibility Checklist
A practical 15-minute review of which AI tools you use, what they should access, and what to do when agent activity doesn’t match your intent.
This page summarizes the guide. The full PDF, with worksheets and examples, is free from our Resources page.
Build your baseline
List the AI tools you installed on purpose, browser-based AI tools, coding or automation agents, and plugins, connectors or MCP tools. Note which should touch files, use the browser or run commands, and remove what you no longer use.
Match access to purpose
For files, browser, network and terminal access, write down what each agent genuinely needs. Unneeded access makes activity harder to judge.
Decide quickly: Stop or Continue
Continue when the agent is known, authorized and doing what you expect. Stop and review when it’s unknown or the activity is unexpected.
Monthly review and worksheet
A short monthly desktop review plus a printable worksheet of your authorized agents and their allowed access.
